On a remarkable journey of love and devotion, a woman has been carrying her disabled husband for an astonishing 60 years, defying societal expectations and pressures to abandon him.
According to the woman, her husband sent a messenger to her, pleading for her hand in marriage, and she consented, convinced by her heart that he was the right partner.
Despite her mother-in-law and others advising her to reject him, citing concerns that she would be squandering her life with a man who could neither walk nor work, the woman chose to follow her heart and marry him.
She has since worked tirelessly to care for him, taking on various tasks such as working on farms, showering him, cleaning his mess, and carrying him to the farm, among other responsibilities.
Her husband, who was born impaired and left untreated by his parents, has never moved far from the village where he was born, residing in a small mud house with his partner.
As he recounted his story to Afrimax TV, he expressed gratitude for his partner's unwavering devotion, saying, 'I sent a messenger to find me love, when I told her what was on my heart, she said 'yes', and that's how we have lived together since.'
