The funds were used to renovate classrooms and construct laboratories in several schools in the constituency, according to Dr. Makali Mulu, the area Member of Parliament.
Dr. Mulu commissioned a fully equipped laboratory at Ithiiani Secondary School in Kyangwithya West Ward, urging learners to utilize the facility to expand their practical knowledge in science subjects.
"I advise all students to make use of this facility to expand their practical knowledge on matters of science subjects as well as make use of your teachers whenever assistance is needed," Dr. Mulu said.
Other schools that benefited from the funds include Ndumoni, Kwa-Kunuvwa, and Mulutu Secondary Schools in Kyangwithya West Ward, which had their classrooms renovated.
Dr. Mulu emphasized the importance of education in development and poverty reduction, urging local parents to take education seriously for a better future for their children.
