How to Prepare a Delicious Mixed Vegetable Pilau

Here's what you need:

  • Half a kilo of biryani rice
  • Thin slices of ginger
  • One cup of water
  • Three tablespoons of oil
  • One teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • One teaspoon of cumin powder
  • One teaspoon of coriander powder
  • One teaspoon of garam masala powder
  • One teaspoon of salt
  • One teaspoon of black pepper
  • Two tablespoons of chopped fresh cilantro
  • Two tablespoons of chopped fresh mint leaves
  • One tablespoon of lemon juice
  • One tablespoon of vinegar
  • One tablespoon of ghee or oil

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until they are translucent.
  1. Add the ginger and sauté for another minute.
  1. Add the mixed vegetables and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  1. Add the turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  1. Add the chopped cilantro and mint leaves. Mix well.
  1. Add the lemon juice and vinegar. Mix well.
  1. Add the ghee or oil and mix well.
  1. Add the biryani rice and mix well.
  1. Cook for 10-15 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the vegetables are tender.
  1. Serve hot and enjoy!
