On Friday, July 9, 2021, Corporal Joseph Otieno, a 36-year-old GSU officer, went missing after leaving the GSU headquarters in Ruaraka.
According to his wife, Caroline Adhiambo, Otieno left the house around 7:30 am and was expected to return home the following morning. However, his phone was switched off, and he became unreachable.
Adhiambo filed a missing person report at Kasarani Police Station on Sunday, stating that Otieno had hired a car for five days, starting from Thursday, and was last seen near Naivas Supermarket in Ruaraka.
The car was found deserted near a quarry in Mwiki area, Kasarani Sub County, on Sunday and was taken to Mwiki Police Station for further investigation.
Police urge anyone with information about Otieno's disappearance to report to the nearest police station to assist with the investigation.
