On July 13, 2021, the court was filled with emotion as Sharon's loved ones listened to the prosecution's case against Governor Obado and his co-accused.
Prosecutor Catherine Mwaniki made her opening remarks, stating, 'We will demonstrate to you, my Lady, beyond reasonable doubt that an offence of murder was committed and two innocent lives were cut short.'
She went on to explain that the prosecution intends to prove that Governor Obado, alongside the co-accused, conspired and murdered Sharon and her unborn baby.
Pathologist Oduor took the court through a post-mortem report, revealing disturbing details about Sharon's body, including severe bleeding caused by penetrating force trauma.
Obado, who is represented by Senior Counsel Kioko Kilukumi, avoided looking at the images displayed by the pathologist, while Oyamo, represented by Senior Counsel Tom Ojienda, listened attentively.
