On Friday night, July 9, 2021, a tragic incident occurred at the Sky Horse Apartment in Kilimani's Wood Avenue, leaving two Nigerian nationals dead.

According to sources, the two victims were among a group of about 20 people who had gathered to mourn the death of another Nigerian national, who passed away on July 4.

One of the deceased, Ademuajimi Courage Maxwell, a 23-year-old Nigerian national, allegedly jumped from the seventh floor of the building, resulting in his death.

The second victim, whose identity is not known, was in the kitchen preparing a meal when he collapsed in shock and died before an ambulance could arrive.

Two other men also collapsed during the incident, but their current status is unknown.

Police have taken three women, Vera Osebe, Anesteny Manji, and Diana Moraa, into custody, along with a Nigerian national, Kibor Kamar Omar, who was hospitalized after collapsing.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the two deaths, with police recovering alcohol, bhang, and other controlled substances from the scene.

Kilimani Sub-County police commander Muturi Mbogo stated that there were no signs of struggle, ruling out foul play as a possibility.

Police are working to establish whether the substances found at the scene are connected to the two deaths.

As investigations continue, police analysts and pathologists are examining the evidence to determine the cause of the deaths.
