Corporal Joseph Otieno, a 36-year-old General Service Unit officer, has been missing since Friday, July 9, 2021, sparking a search effort by his family and the authorities.
According to his wife, Caroline Adhiambo, Otieno left their home around 7:30 am on Saturday, July 10, 2021, but failed to return, leaving behind his phone and a hired car.
Adhiambo filed a missing person's report at Kasarani Police Station on Sunday, July 11, 2021, after Otieno's phone signals were last traced near Naivas Supermarket in Ruaraka.
Investigations have revealed that Otieno had hired a car for five days, starting from Thursday, July 8, 2021, for personal use, which was later found abandoned near a quarry in Mwiki area, Kasarani Sub County.
The police are urging anyone with information about Otieno's whereabouts to come forward and assist with the investigation.
