On a visit to Kisumu County, Franck Moreau, Country Manager of Carrefour Kenya at Majid Al Futtaim Retail, announced the upcoming opening of two new stores in the city. The stores, located at the Market MEGA and the United Mall, are set to open in July and August respectively.

According to Franck Moreau, the stores will offer a convenient assortment of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) at Carrefour prices. The opening of the two stores will raise the total number of Carrefour outlets in Kenya to 15, including 11 stores in Nairobi and 2 in Mombasa.

During the courtesy meeting with Kisumu County Governor, Professor Anyang' Nyong'o, Franck Moreau emphasized the company's commitment to investing in the Kenyan economy. He stated that the stores will provide direct and indirect employment opportunities for over 200 Kisumu residents.

Carrefour's expansion in Kisumu is part of its larger strategy to increase its footprint in various regions across the country. The company aims to contribute to the Kenyan economy by providing a wider market choice for customers and expanded supply opportunities for local farmers and manufacturers.
