On Saturday, July 10, 2021, former Inooro TV presenter Muthoni wa Mukiri tied the knot with her long-time lover in a traditional Ruracio ceremony.
The event was attended by a number of stars, including Lilian Muli, Teacher Wanjiku, and popular actor and radio presenter Shix Kapienga, who were part of Wa Mukiri's bridal team.
Wa Mukiri's Ruracio comes weeks after she showed off a diamond ring given to her by her lover during a proposal. The news of her wedding was shared by Citizen TV anchor Lilian Muli on her Instagram page, tagging Wa Mukiri and the bridal team.
Wa Mukiri, who was beloved by the Kikuyu audience for her Kikuyu eloquence and delivery, had previously offered her resignation from Inooro TV, citing a desire to pursue personal projects, including running her YouTube page and investing in the cosmetics industry.
Wa Mukiri owns a hairline business known as Mukiri Hair Hub, which sells premium wigs and human hair. She had also gone back to school to study psychology following her resignation from the Royal Media-owned TV station.
