Google has released a list of the most downloaded apps in Kenya, with financial apps topping the charts as of July 10, 2021.
According to the list, Safaricom's MPESA is the most downloaded app, followed closely by MySafaricom, TikTok, and AsapKash, a credit services application.
Other popular apps include LionCash, Kashway, Jumia Online Shopping, Credit Hela, Ipesa, and LCash Apps.
Interestingly, popular social media apps like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Twitter are ranked beyond position 20.
It's worth noting that Google had previously issued a list of apps that users should delete from their phones due to security concerns, including the risk of hackers stealing personal information from Facebook.
