Published on July 1, 2019, the Africa Cup of Nations has seen a significant expansion to 24 teams, making every group match, point, and goal crucial.

The format of the competition means two wins from the first two games are enough to secure qualification for the last 16 for any team.

However, calculations have become complicated, with the four best third-placed teams set to seal a place in the next round.

Kenya, currently fourth in the best third-placed team, are in the frame to progress to the last 16 even if they lose their last group clash against Senegal.

But for that to happen, Benin must suffer defeat to Cameroon in their last Group F match, and Angola must lose their last round of Group E fixture against Mali.

Guinea, DR Congo, and South Africa top the list of the best third-placed teams.
