July 10, 2021 - RES4Africa Foundation has welcomed Schneider Electric's Middle East and Africa President Caspar Herzberg to its Executive Committee, a move that will see him serve a four-year term.
Founded in 2012, RES4Africa is a think tank that promotes the deployment of large-scale and decentralised renewable energy in Africa. The organization's vision is to contribute to paving the road towards a prosperous Africa, powered by renewable energy sources.
As a member of RES4Africa, Schneider Electric supports the organization's mission to make power generation throughout the region greener and more sustainable. The company has a presence in every major country in Africa and serves thousands of customers with integrated efficiency solutions.
“We will benefit from Caspar's insights, experiences, and networks across Africa,” said Roberto Vigotti, Secretary General, RES4Africa Foundation. “He is personally pushing for this green transition, given his expertise in areas such as smart cities and digital transformation.”
Caspar Herzberg manages Schneider Electric's operations in over eighty countries and has over 20 years of experience in the industry. He is recognized as a thought leader in areas including smart cities, digital transformation, and the Internet of Things.
“I'm honored to be able to serve in this role for the RES4Africa,” said Herzberg. “We believe in how RES4Africa is bringing the public and private sectors together to push for a faster change in the green energy space.”
