On the day before Constable John Ongweno's tragic death, his wife Juliet Ongweno received a call from Caroline Kangogo, the fugitive killer cop who would later be accused of his murder.
According to Juliet, Kangogo had been in constant communication with her in the days leading up to the incident, inquiring about various matters, including her husband's work schedule and the children's graduation.
Juliet revealed that Kangogo had called her on Thursday to inform her that John had arrived in Kericho for work-related matters, and on Saturday to confirm that he would attend the children's graduation, which was scheduled for the same day.
However, Juliet's suspicions were raised when Kangogo asked her to allow the children to go to Nakuru for a treat, a request that seemed unusual at the time.
As detectives continue to piece together the evidence, it has emerged that Kangogo's motives were far from innocent. The serial killer cop had been using her relationship with Juliet to gather information about John's movements and plans.
Juliet's family had also sensed that something was amiss, but she had been hesitant to confront the situation head-on.
It was only after John's death that Juliet realized the true extent of Kangogo's sinister intentions.
