On Thursday, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga spoke to a local radio station, addressing claims that he had only 'one bullet' in reference to running for the last time in the 2017 presidential election.
Denying these claims, Raila stated, "Who is that saying I have only one bullet. I have never said I have only one bullet. In fact, I have a full magazine."
He emphasized that he was eligible to run for presidency again without declaring his intentions for the next year's election.
Raila also dismissed claims that he was banking on President Uhuru Kenyatta's support, stating, "I am not looking for an endorsement from anyone. I don't depend on endorsements in my life. My whole political career has been about service to the people, not endorsements."
Regarding the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) debate, Raila expressed confidence that the country still had a chance to hold a referendum, stating, "There is still time for a referendum. We have a year to elections. It can be done even if it gets to December...nothing stops us from doing so."
