On July 8, Ken Muyundo, the owner of the Iroko Hotel chain, received a call from a woman asking to meet him. He arrived at the scene, but when he saw the woman, he didn't recognize her from any past encounters.

Feeling threatened, Muyundo fired a single shot to scare her. The woman was later arrested and taken to the Kiminini Police Station for questioning.

During the search, police discovered that the woman was Phanice Chemutai Juma, and she had been shot in the lower abdomen. She was rushed to Kitale Hospital, while Muyundo remained in custody for questioning.

Police recovered Muyundo's Ceska pistol, a magazine loaded with ten rounds, and a spent cartridge, which will be used as exhibits. In her defense, the woman claimed that she and Muyundo had exchanged contacts in the past and only wanted to meet him.

Caroline Kangogo, a police officer wanted for the murder of two men, is still on the run. The search for her entered its sixth day on July 9, with authorities suspecting that she was on a revenge mission but unable to determine the reason behind her actions.

It has been revealed that Kangogo withdrew Ksh40,000 from a bank in Juja, Kiambu County, which she has been using to fund her trip across counties, book motels, and buy groceries.
