On November 13, 2014, Machakos Town MP Victor Kioko Munyaka met with car dealer George Gichohi Chege at the Continental House, where MPs have private offices, to discuss the importation of an Audi Q7 from the UK.

Dr Munyaka, a second-term MP, had been assured by Mr Chege that he would import the car, with chassis number KN59VME, from the UK. The MP had signed a Sh4 million sale agreement with Hyper Cars Limited, where Mr Chege is a director, for the purchase of the vehicle.

However, the car was never delivered, and Dr Munyaka has never received the vehicle from Mr Chege. He also has not returned the Sh3.7 million that Dr Munyaka paid him.

Dr Munyaka testified that he paid the accused's company money through RTGS and also gave the accused Sh400,000 in cash. However, he admitted that there was no proof he made cash payments to the accused.

Mr Chege has denied fraudulently obtaining Sh3.7 million from Dr Munyaka while pretending he was in a position to import the car for him.

Dr Munyaka said he believed the accused would import the posh car for him because he had delivered the first car he sold to him when he was first elected to Parliament in 2013.
