On July 9, 2021, the DCI issued a warning to the public about a rogue female police officer, Corporal Caroline Kangogo, who had gone on a killing spree.
According to the DCI, Corporal Kangogo had already killed two men, including a fellow serviceman, Constable John Ogweno, who was based in Nakuru County.
The DCI stated that the suspect had been on the run since early yesterday morning and was considered armed and dangerous.
Corporal Kangogo's alleged modus operandi was to dress in a buibui and lure men to their deaths in cold blood.
One of her victims, Peter Ndwiga, died of excessive bleeding in the brain after being shot in the head, with the fatal wound entering through his left ear and exiting through the right side of his skull.
The autopsy was conducted at the General Kago Funeral Home in Thika.
