On 15th September 2021, the forgery case against Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi will be heard physically at the Anti-Corruption Court.
According to a ruling by Trial Magistrate Felix Kombo, the accused MP must be present in court during the hearing.
The MP is charged with nine counts of forgery, including presenting forged academic papers to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) in 2013 to clear his name for the parliamentary seat.
It is alleged that the MP, with the intent to deceive, forged a diploma certificate in business management, purporting that it had been issued by the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM).
Additionally, the lawmaker is charged with forging a KCSE certificate from Highway High school and several other counts of giving false information to an IEBC officer and lying to the electoral body and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
