On July 8, 2021, Defence Cabinet Secretary Monica Juma paid her respects to the late CS Joseph Nkaissery at his gravesite in Kajiado county.
Contrary to the usual practice of keeping the graves of government dignitaries private, Nkaissery's final resting place has been well-maintained and is now accessible to the public.
Four years after his passing, the site where the former Cabinet Secretary was buried has been opened to the public, with Defence Cabinet Secretary Monica Juma visiting his home in Kajiado county to lay fresh flowers.
