On July 8, 2021, a bizarre incident unfolded in India, where three farmers found themselves in trouble with the law.

Their buffaloes, kept under domestic care, blew the whistle on their clandestine brewery by behaving strangely and frothing at the mouth.

It turned out that the buffaloes had ingested liquor from broken bottles hidden in their water troughs.

The incident came to light when a veterinarian was called to examine the buffaloes, who found the water trough smelling strangely.

The veterinarian promptly contacted the police, leading to the arrest of the three farmers.

The production and sale of liquor in Gujarat, the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is prohibited.

The creative farmers had found a way to circumvent the law by hiding their liquor operation in plain sight.

However, their plan backfired when their buffaloes became inebriated, leading to their arrest.
