On July 6, 2021, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) issued a warning about a 'female police officer who has gone berserk and is on a killing spree.'

Corporal Caroline Kangogo, a suspect in the killing of Police Constable John Ogweno in Nakuru, is accused of shooting dead another man in cold blood.

Lawyer Cliff Ombeta has appealed to the DCI to give Kangogo time to surrender, urging the public to avoid mob justice if they spot her.

"Uncork' your weapons and bloodthirsty attitude so that we avoid extrajudicial killings. She definitely will have a story," Ombeta said.

As police intensified the hunt for Kangogo, Ombeta also urged the DCI to assure the suspect of fair treatment once she surrenders.
