On July 8, 2021, President Uhuru Kenyatta flagged off Kenya's first batch of athletes to travel to Kurume City in Japan for the Pre-Olympics training camp.
The National women's volleyball team Malkia Strikers will be the first to depart tonight, followed by the men's and women's rugby teams on July 9 and 10, respectively.
During the event, the Head of State also officially launched Kenya's kits to be used at the Olympic Games, designed by Nike.
