The government has announced measures to address issues with the Huduma card distribution process. According to a statement by Government Spokesperson Cyrus Oguna, Kenyans will receive a message informing them where their Huduma Card will be dispatched to, with the location being the default information on one's ID card.

However, the notification has a provision to change the preferred pick-up location, allowing individuals to modify the stated location if needed. The message will remain on the phone for 48 hours before disappearing.

Additionally, a second message will inform recipients where their card has been dispatched for collection. The government is also developing a user-friendly portal with all necessary information to track the status of one's card.

Furthermore, an Interactive Voice Recording (IVR) system is being developed to assist callers with various information on Huduma Namba. The government has also emphasized that the issuance of the Huduma Card is free and warned against any scams asking for payment.

Currently, the process of distributing the cards is ongoing countrywide, with cards ready for collection being dispatched to NRB offices or ID Offices at the local level. Kenyans are urged to respond to notification messages once they receive them on their phones.
