On July 5, 2021, Police Corporal Caroline Kangogo, 34, checked into a hotel room in Kiambu with a male companion, Peter Ndwiga, where he was later found dead.

A police signal revealed that Kangogo had spent the night with Ndwiga at the Hotel Dedamax, where they booked room number 107 at 4pm on Monday.

At around 1pm on Tuesday, the hotel owner, Peter Mugeshi, informed the police that one of his clients had been found dead inside a room.

According to CCTV footage, Kangogo, dressed in a yellow hoodie, left the hotel at around 12.30am on Tuesday.

On the same day, a police signal stated that Kangogo had been spotted around Kahawa Wendani area, Celvet Club, after which she hopped onto a motorbike and headed towards Nairobi via Thika road and exited at Drive-Inn.
