Atieno, who has lived in Germany for 17 years, has a strong background in radio presenting, having worked at Royal Media's Ramogi FM in Kenya before relocating to Germany.
She currently hosts a podcast and has expressed her desire to study governance and politics, citing her experience as a diaspora member as a driving force behind her decision.
“With 17 years of living abroad, I know too well where the shoes hurt when it comes to the diaspora plights and cries,” Atieno said.
Atieno's mother, singer Suzzane Awiyo, has been a significant source of inspiration and support for her daughter's political ambitions.
On social media, Atieno shared her determination to face the challenges of running for office, stating, “I’m going to face it all. Hate and support, but I am ready for it all.”
