On a recent trip to the United States, Kenyan gospel artiste Moji Short Babaa, popularly known as James Muhia, took part in a live Sauti Fest performance in Dallas, Texas. However, it was a different kind of performance that has left fans in stitches.

Moji Short Babaa, a former member of the Kelele Takatifu band, decided to tickle his fans' ribs with a comic video of himself supposedly hawking water outside the White House in Washington, DC. In the short clip, Moji is heard using the popular Kiswahili 'hawking voice' to market cold water alongside another man, who is marketing the same product in English.

Moji Short Babaa's 'hawking voice' left those around him in hysterics, with some of his friends and fans jokingly telling him to board the plane back home. The post sparked amusement and had some of his friends and fans ask him not to say that he is a Kenyan in case he is asked about his nationality.

“Unataka maji dada? Ya kiroho ama hii?” (Sister do you want water? The spiritual one or this?)” Moji Short Babaa is heard saying in the video.

Published on July 8, 2021, the video has left fans in awe of Moji Short Babaa's creativity and sense of humor.
