Published on July 8, 2021, Lutan Fyah, a renowned reggae artist, is set to compete in the 55th edition of the Jamaica Festival Competition.

With his track 'Jah Mek Yah' submitted, Lutan Fyah is among the 12 finalists vying for the top spot. The song was written and recorded in a remarkable 30 minutes, inspired by his guitarist Ernie Wilks.

According to Lutan Fyah, his band member came up with the beat, and he was tasked with writing the lyrics. He expressed his happiness at being part of the competition.

The winning song will receive a prize of $3 million, to be shared among the producer, writer, and singer. However, Lutan Fyah has stated that he is not focused on the prize money, but rather on the experience of competing.
