Published on July 8, 2021, a police woman from Mombasa, Corporal Caroline Kangogo, has sent her husband threatening messages, sparking fears for his safety.

According to reports, Kangogo's husband is a senior police officer attached to the Maritime police unit in Mombasa. The couple has two children together, aged eight and eleven years.

In the messages, Kangogo allegedly threatened to kill her husband, saying he would suffer the same fate as her two victims.

These threats have led detectives to form a theory that Corporal Caroline Kangogo is hunting her former lovers one by one.

On Monday, Kangogo killed Peter Ndwiga Njiru, 32, in Juja, Kiambu County, some 200 kilometres away from where she first committed her first murder.

Caroline is said to have lured Ndwiga to Dedamax Hotel in Kimbo, Juja at around 4pm Monday, where she shot him in the head. She later emerged from the room at around midnight Monday and fled to an unknown destination, leaving the dead man's body on the bed.

“We are cautioning members of the public especially men to be on the lookout for the rogue officer, who is luring men to her trap before killing them. Let nobody trust her or accommodate her since she is armed and dangerous,” a message from the DCI said.
