On Wednesday, a Nairobi court heard that Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino and the family of DJ Evolve are engaged in advanced negotiations to settle the attempted murder case out of court.
According to a lawyer representing DJ Evolve's family, the parties have made significant progress in their deliberations, with only a few remaining documents expected from the accused person.
The prosecution confirmed this, stating that DJ Evolve's family and Babu Owino have made 'tremendous progress' in their discussions.
As a result, the court was informed that the prosecution held two meetings between Babu Owino and DJ Evolve, along with their lawyers, to facilitate the negotiations.
Magistrate Bernard Ochoi directed that the matter be mentioned on July 28, 2021, to allow the parties to conclude their negotiations.
