Crime has been on the rise in Nairobi's Central Business District (CBD), prompting the formation of a special police squad to apprehend and curb the surge.

However, CCTV cameras installed in shops and streets have also played a crucial role in identifying muggers, pickpockets, shoplifters, and armed gang members.

Here are some of the most daring robberies caught on camera in recent times:

4. Ainea Ojiambo Moi Avenue Shootout

Celebrated actor Ainea Ojiambo was reportedly caught on camera shooting two thugs who attempted to steal his prized necklace on Friday, April 30. The bullet allegedly struck a security guard who passed away on the spot.
