On July 7, 2021, a book titled 'Pivoting in Heels' was published, featuring interviews of powerful women who are industry leaders in Kenya and how they coped with the Covid-19 pandemic as they steered their firms.
The book, written by renowned media personality and publisher Carole Mandi, is a collection of stories from women leaders in various industries, including finance, telecoms, beauty and fashion, motor and beverage, and research.
Notable industry leaders featured in the book include Energy Champion Rebecca Miano, Isuzu East Africa Boss Rita Kavashe, BOC's Marion Gathoga-Mwangi, EABL's Jane Karuku, KAM CEO Phyllis Wakiaga, Absa Bank's Elizabeth Wasunna, and TIFA's Maggie Ireri.
