On July 7, 2021, Brighton and Hove Albion made a significant move ahead of the 2021/22 English Premier League campaign by signing Chipolopolo midfielder Enock Mwepu from Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg to a four-year deal.

At just 23 years old, Mwepu becomes Graham Potter's first signing of the season, bringing a wealth of experience to the team. The Zambian international has already made a name for himself in European football, playing in the Champions League and representing his country in international matches.

"We're delighted to welcome Enock to the club and are looking forward to working with him," said Albion head coach Graham Potter. "He has a great deal of experience for somebody of his age, including Champions League and international football."

Mwepu's impressive resume includes 81 league appearances for Red Bull Salzburg, scoring 11 goals and providing nine assists. He has also been a regular player for the Zambia national team since his debut in September 2017.

Interestingly, Mwepu was nicknamed 'The Computer' by Red Bull fans due to his ability to read the game. He made his international debut in September 2017 and has since become a key player for Zambia, scoring his first goal in an Afcon Qualifier against Algeria on September 2, 2017.
