Prophet TB Joshua, a Nigerian preacher, was laid to rest on July 9, 2021, at the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Lagos, following a week-long funeral rite that began with a candlelight procession led by his widow, Evelyn Joshua.

The funeral procession, attended by about 6,000 mourners, marked the beginning of the week-long celebration of Joshua's life and legacy, which was cut short when he died just a few days before his 58th birthday.

However, the somber occasion was disrupted by a fire outbreak at a storehouse within the church's premises at around 11pm on July 5, 2021, causing mourners to scramble for safety.

According to church officials, the fire was caused by an electrical spark, which was quickly brought under control without any injuries.

The church released a statement assuring the public that there was no cause for alarm and that the services celebrating Joshua's life and legacy would continue as scheduled.
