On Monday, Football Kenya Federation President Nick Mwendwa presided over the opening ceremony of a CAF C License coaching course at the Kenya School of Special Education in Kasarani.

The course, which is also being run in Mombasa, is under the tutelage of experienced coaches, including Leonard Odipo and Leonard Saleh in Nairobi, and Twahhir Muhiddin and Jones Kyallo in Mombasa.

According to FKF President Nick Mwendwa, the course is part of the federation's efforts to improve the standards of Kenyan football through capacity building of coaches.

"This is our 12th CAF C license coaching course and I admire the dedication of these coaches who aim to instill proper knowledge to our young players," said FKF President Nick Mwendwa.

The training, which will run until Friday, July 30, 2021, will benefit 60 participants, including former Kenyan International Osborne Monday, former Harambee Starlets players Cheris Avilia and Ann Aluoch, and other notable coaches.

Additionally, two CAF B courses have been lined up, with the first course set to be held between September 6, and December 15, 2021, and the second one to run between November 1, and February 15, 2022.
