Kenyan radio presenter Nick Ndeda has ended his seven-year relationship with his girlfriend, Muthoni Gitau, a popular YouTube content creator.
On July 5, 2021, the couple jointly announced their decision to part ways on YouTube, citing a desire to avoid speculation and maintain a positive public image.
According to Ndeda, the duo initially shared common goals when they started dating, but over time, they began to pursue their individual objectives in different ways.
'You (Muthoni) were very aggressive chasing personal goals, plus the shared goals, I was a little bit on the lax side, especially with the shared. Even to a certain extent, I neglected my personal goals,' Ndeda explained.
Muthoni, on the other hand, expressed her readiness to explore new relationships, stating that she felt it was time to move on from her previous experiences.
'I haven't dated much, this was my third serious relationship. I feel that is something I want to go and explore,' she said.
The couple revealed that they had been considering their decision for three months and had sought professional help before making the final call.
As a result of their separation, Ndeda announced that he would no longer be appearing on Muthoni's YouTube channel, and she changed the channel's name to 'Just Doing Life with Muthoni Gitau', removing his pictures.
