Threats Against DP Ruto Exposed ¶
According to a report by the FBI, two individuals have been identified as the ones who posted a threatening letter on social media claiming there was a plot to assassinate Deputy President William Ruto.
The letter, which was posted on Twitter and Facebook, alleged that several cabinet ministers had met at a La Mada restaurant to discuss ways to remove Ruto from office.
The ministers named in the letter include Peter Munya, Sicily Kariuki, Joe Mucheru, and James Macharia.
After being summoned to the DCI headquarters, the ministers denied any involvement in the alleged plot and claimed that there were no formal complaints against them.
However, they denied any involvement in a plot to assassinate Ruto.
The FBI has reportedly identified the two individuals who posted the threatening letter and has handed over their details to the DCI for further investigation.
According to the FBI, the investigation was a relatively easy one, with the individuals being identified quickly.
"It was a straightforward case," said an FBI official.
"We have enough evidence to proceed with the investigation, and we are confident that we will get to the bottom of this matter," added another official.
