Parenting is a journey with no manual, and every parent strives to raise upright children. However, the approach to achieving this goal can vary greatly, with some parents adopting a strict, zero-tolerance policy.

Known as tiger moms, these parents believe they have everything under control, but do they? The constant pressure to meet expectations can lead children to develop coping mechanisms, such as lying, to avoid punishment.

One of the signs of a tiger mom is a child who constantly lies. This behavior is not a result of being a born liar but rather a response to the harsh environment they are forced to live in. Children need a safe space to express themselves and feel heard, not just seen.

Another sign is being the last to know about your child's milestones and daily life. If your child is more likely to confide in their nanny or another trusted adult, it may be a sign that you are too strict and controlling.

Having too many rules can also be a sign of a tiger mom. While rules are necessary, they should be reasonable and allow for room for error and correction. Criticizing your child's every move can lead to low self-esteem and a lack of confidence in making their own decisions.

Lastly, choosing a career path for your child without giving them a say can be a sign of a tiger mom. While you may have their best interests at heart, it's essential to allow them to make their own decisions and learn from their mistakes.

By recognizing these signs and making changes, you can create a more supportive and nurturing environment for your child to grow and thrive.
