Sheila Wairimu, a 30-year-old musician from Kitale, has been accused of hacking into the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) portal and transferring ownership of a Toyota V8 worth approximately Ksh10 million to herself.

According to the allegations, Wairimu accessed the NTSA/TIMS account of PJ Dodhia Kumar and transferred the ownership of the vehicle to herself.

However, Wairimu has denied the charges, claiming that the car was transferred to her without her knowledge and that she only realized it after accessing the NTSA account.

She was accused of obtaining registration by false pretense and stealing, and was ordered to deposit a cash bail of Sh100,000 with a surety of a similar amount or a bond of Sh500,000.

The luxury car in question, registration number KCK 466N, was owned by Pankajkumar Juthalal Dodhia, who Wairimu claimed had gifted it to her before his death in April at the age of 61.

The court will fix a hearing date on July 19 when the parties will appear again for a mention.
