On July 5, 2021, actress Kate Actress, real name Catherine Kamau, took to social media to share a heart-wrenching moment from her past.
At the time, Kate was a teenager and a single mother to her young son, whom she had to work hard to provide for as his father was nowhere to be seen.
She recalled a particularly difficult night when she felt like giving up, but her son's innocence and love changed everything.
‘I honestly thought my life was over here, this one night I was sitting on my bed crying. I thought he was asleep. He crawled up to me, lifted his litu hand and wiped my tears and said ‘chafuuuu ‘ (dirty),’ she emotionally recalled.
Today, Kate is a proud mother of two, including a 15-year-old son and a two-year-old daughter, Karla. She credits her husband, Phil the Director, real name Philip Karanja, for becoming the father her son desired.
She took to social media to wish her son a happy 15th birthday, saying, ‘Happy 15th to my baby ❤️.’
She also penned a heartfelt message to her son, saying, ‘My baby is 180 months today 😭. You changed my life in ways I could never imagine. You really are a blessing, always our good luck charm. You are the best big brother, my forever litu boy. May you grow in the fear of the Lord. May he protect you from evil. May he grant you wisdom. Happy birthday.’
