On July 4, 2021, England secured a spot in the quarter-finals of the European Championship after defeating Germany 2-0 at Wembley.
Ukraine, on the other hand, made history by reaching the quarter-finals for the first time after securing an extra-time win over Sweden.
Manchester City star Oleksandr Zinchenko gave Ukraine the lead against Sweden before Emil Forsberg equalised, but Artem Dovbyk netted the winning goal in the 121st minute to send Ukraine to the top eight.
Ukraine's journey to the quarter-finals has been marked by luck, having lost two of their three group games, but they are now making the most of their chance.
However, facing England, who are now the bookmakers' favourites to lift the trophy, will not be an easy task for Ukraine. England has yet to concede a goal at Euro 2020, although they have only scored four goals in four games.
