Published on July 3, 2021, the Czech Republic and Denmark are set to face off in the Euro 2020 quarterfinals, with both teams making a dramatic entry to the competition.

The Czech Republic qualified for the knockouts as one of the best third-place sides, while Denmark completed third in Group B before beating Wales 4-0 in the earlier round.

Denmark's path to the quarterfinals was not without its challenges, having lost their opening two games in the Euro 2020 to Finland (1-0) and Belgium (2-1). However, they overwhelmed Russia 4-1 on Matchday 3 to progress to the knockouts.

The Czech Republic, on the other hand, had a more consistent run, beating Scotland 2-0 in their opening game and drawing 1-1 against Croatia on Matchday 2. However, they suffered their first loss of the European Championship on Matchday 3, losing 1-0 to England.

Despite their inconsistent form, the Czech Republic has shown resilience, regaining form to send the Dutch 2-0 last time out, with Patrik Schick scoring his fourth goal of the competition.

With each of the Czech Republic's past six games presenting under 2.5 goals, pundits allege that Saturday's showdown is likely to be a low-scoring event. However, Denmark has won all of their last four games away from home by two or more goals, which could give them an edge in the match.
