Kenyan rapper Nyashinski has expressed his disappointment over the cancellation of the Made in Kenya concert, which was scheduled to take place on June 3rd, 2021 at Two Rivers.
According to Nyashinski, the last time he performed was over a year ago, and he was looking forward to seeing his fans over the weekend before the event was cancelled.
He took to his social media pages to express his frustration, urging the government to put in place measures that will enable creatives to earn a living and still adhere to COVID-19 protocols.
"While I encourage us to stay safe during this time, it is important for the Government to step up and support the events Industry," Nyashinski wrote.
He added that leaders should put in place strategies that will support events, entertainment, and all the struggling sectors.

Organizers of the Made in Kenya concert, Aizniaz Entertainment, explained that the concert had been postponed to August 28th, 2021 in support of the government's efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19.
They assured fans that all bought and complimentary tickets will be valid for usage come August 28th, and for those who may want a refund, they should reach out to m-tickets, their ticketing partners.
