According to Koinange, he and a group of close friends had known that Collymore's time was running out. Collymore had informed them of his condition, and his doctors had advised him not to make any long-term plans. In fact, he was told that if he made it past July, he would be lucky.
Speaking to Sam Gituku, Koinange revealed that he had visited Collymore on the day of his passing. 'On Saturday [last weekend] I was having lunch with my mother and sister, and I told them to give me an hour. I had to go see Bob. A group of us (five of us) we had known this was coming,' Koinange said.
Collymore's passing was a significant loss to the nation, and his friends and family are still grieving his loss. Koinange's recollections serve as a poignant reminder of the final moments they shared with Collymore.
