Published on July 3, 2021, a Twitter war erupted between Capital FM and KBC after the former made a joke about KBC's new logo, which many Kenyans have likened to a stop sign.

Capital FM replaced the letters KBC with REGGAE and added a slogan reading 'Nobody can stop it', sparking a response from KBC.

However, KBC didn't take the joke lying down and responded with its own meme, engaging in a lighthearted Twitter banter with Capital FM.

Twitter wars have become a popular way for companies to engage with their competitors and audiences, with brands reaping the benefits of becoming follower favorites.

NTV and K24 also joined in on the fun, engaging in a little banter after a fan told NTV 'Ambia serikali iwapee kazi', with NTV responding using the popular 'Nitakufinya' meme.

While engaging with audiences on social media is an important part of any brand's communications strategy, a small mistake online can have serious consequences for a company's reputation and business.
