On May 9, a woman's life took a drastic turn when she was subjected to Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) at the hands of her husband of 12 years.
According to the woman, her husband has been assaulting her since he joined a cult, and the FGM ordeal was just the latest in a series of violent incidents.
Police in Murang'a have since arrested the husband, bringing some measure of relief to the woman and her family.
