On July 2, 2021, gospel artiste and TV presenter Kambua shared her heart-wrenching experience of losing her second-born baby, and her ongoing journey to healing.
Although she had made a comeback to social media and the screen a few weeks ago, Kambua revealed that she was still healing from the wounds of losing a child.
She took to her social media platforms to share with her fans what she was doing to heal, and asked them to share their own experiences and advice on how to cope with the pain.
"I'm curious to know...what do you do to heal...? To exhale...?" she asked her fans.
For Kambua, healing involved reading books, praying, and traveling. "I read books, listen to 'stuff', I pray, I TRAVEL...I travel to heal, and regroup. Recently, the travel bug bit me..." she revealed.
Just a month ago, Kambua had taken time off from social media to mourn her son, but she had bounced back with a new song titled "Shukrani". In the song, she expressed how love had lifted her from a place of deep pain and despair.
"Love lifts. Love has truly lifted me from a place of deep pain and despair. The love of God, my keeper...I am so blessed to be a mother of two adorable boys; one who's here giving me the best cuddles, and another in heaven, who I'll one day hold again. As for my broken heart, I know that someday I will meet Jesus, and it will be made whole," she wrote.
