On 1st July, award-winning Kenyan Afro Pop star Nadia Mukami shared her insights into how to choose a perfect spouse, drawing from her own experiences in love and relationships.
Although not a trained relationship expert, Nadia Mukami freely dished out some advice on choosing the right partner, which she believes is crucial for a happy marriage.
Here are her 7 tips:
- Choosing a good father/mother for your kids is more important than picking a husband/wife for yourself.
- Do not settle down with people who are still stuck on their exes.
- A man who constantly asks you for money but never spoils you and complains he’s broke but lives lavish is a big turn-off!
- Don’t get pregnant for a man if you don’t know where he lives.
- A man/woman who can’t buy you even a cup of coffee worth Ksh100 while dating will never buy you ANY gift when married!
- Your partner should be the first person to celebrate your wins such as graduation, opening a small business, promotion, etc.
- Date people who are proud of you! Date people who show you off!
