The TECNO Phantom X has finally arrived in the Kenyan market, priced at KES 49,999. This device marks the beginning of TECNO's 'PHANTOM' sub-brand, which may indicate more Phantom devices in the future.
Watch the unboxing and first impressions video to see my thoughts on this new device. In the video, I estimated the price to be around KES 35,000, but TECNO seems to be targeting a higher market segment with this device.
Key Features ¶
- Curved AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate
- Triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main lens
- Fast charging capabilities with a 4700mAh battery
- 8GB RAM and 256GB storage
While the TECNO Phantom X has some impressive features, its price and processor are some of its drawbacks. The device feels steeply priced at KES 49,999, and its 2021 processor may not be the most powerful option available.
Additionally, the device comes with HiOS bloatware and ads, which may not be ideal for users who have spent a significant amount of money on the device.
Overall, the TECNO Phantom X is a high-end device with some impressive features, but it also has some drawbacks that may make it less appealing to some users.
