On July 1, 2021, Borussia Dortmund officials announced that they had reached a general agreement with Manchester United on the transfer of Jadon Sancho, pending full completion.

However, other transfer news is unfolding. Juventus is showing heavy interest in Granit Xhaka, with Roma also in the race. The 28-year-old midfielder is seen as an option if Juventus loses out on Manuel Locatelli.

Meanwhile, Chelsea is close to signing Declan Rice from West Ham United for £60 million. Rice has rejected two contract offers at West Ham and is expected to undergo a medical in London.

Arsenal has also completed a deal for Benfica's Nuno Tavares, with the transfer fee set at €8m plus add-ons. The 21-year-old left-back will sign with Arsenal until June 2026.

Additionally, Brazilian midfielder Gerson has joined Olympique Marseille from Flamengo on a deal until June 2026.
