On a day of mixed fortunes in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League, Mathare United secured a crucial 2-1 win over Vihiga United on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at Narok.
Chrispin Oduor scored the winner in the 91st minute, breaking the hearts of Vihiga fans and giving Mathare United their third win of the season.
Despite the win, Mathare United remain rooted at the bottom of the FKF-PL standings with 14 points, two points below safety position.
Meanwhile, Gor Mahia's winless run stretched to three matches after Bandari held them to a 0-0 draw in a tight match played at Utalii Grounds.
The defending champions had been seeking a win to keep their title ambitions alive, but Bandari's point sees them remain sixth with 32 points.
Gor Mahia remain fourth with 39 points, eight points behind leaders Tusker.
